Haiti 2009

Matthew 25:40 "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."

Since 2007, Redeeming Waters International has been serving the people of Africa and Haiti, by providing food, clean water, and medical care to those in need. Redeeming Waters International believes that the action of helping those in need is a direct reflection of our faith. We hope to reflect that love and compassion on an ongoing basis, and encourage others to take a first hand approach to serving those in need.

Jocelyn Motter - Founder and President

My name is Jocelyn Motter and I adopted my son Isaac from Liberia, West Africa in 2007. During his adoption I spent 5 weeks in Liberia and I was shocked at the number of women and children who lost their lives during my stay due to a lack of clean water and medical care.

I started Redeeming Waters to help those that are at the most risk. Working in the third world I have found a common thread. Children and women are dying. They are dying because they lack the very basic of necessities.

I have also found it’s easy to help. You start with one orphanage, you make sure they have clean drinking water and watch their death rate go down. You give expecting mothers a birthing kit and watch them survive to raise their children. You provide a family with basic medical care and give them to tools to maintain that health and watch a family grow.

Before you know it thousands of women and children who didn't have a chance before will be living longer and stronger lives, enabling them to make a difference in their own community.

That is what I set out to do. Pure and simple.

I truly believe that if you save one person, you save the world.
